He was the first who had studied the histiry of the XV-XVII century Azerbaijan diplomacy. He has created a scientific school for the learners of the historyof diplomatic relations of  Azerbaijan with European countries. He has put to the scientific circulation: course and reults of the diplomatic negatiations of the Azerbaijani Aghgoyunlu and Safavi; states with separate states of Western Europe; actual facts in thes field; activities of  Aghgoyunlu and Safavi diplomats having held negotiations in Western countries, as well as the activities of the European diplomats in Azerbaijan.

Since the 1956 up to dаy. Baki State University. Head of the chair for the Ancient and Middle Ages history. Within the years of 1986-2003 he was the doyen of the history department at Baki State University.
