Main scientific achievements of the structural unit: |
The theoretical and applied bases of the methods of sorption purification and concentration have been created with the use of the effective sorbents prepared on the base of inexhaustible deposits of accessible and inexpensive natural zeolites of our republic for the purpose of protecting the environment including the natural reservoirs against highly toxic mineral and organic components in the composition of the liquid industrial and every day wastes. The scientific bases of the methods have been developed for sorption purification and concentration of the liquid wastes of a number of the industrial enterprises of the republic from the toxic ions of metals (Ni, Co, Ag, Cu, Zn, Cd, Hg, Cr and oth.) and organic compounds (dichlorethylene, trichloroethylene, chloroform, epichlorhydrine, mono-chloracetic acid, phenol, alkylbenzenesulphonates and oth.) with application of the obtained modified zeolite and cationite sorbents and practical recommendations have been advised. The theory of ion exchange regeneration, developed by us, has been successfully tested on synthetic ionites. Recently it has been tested on mineral sorbents – clinoptilolite and mordenite and satisfactory results have been achieved. |
