Molecular and functional organization of membrane; organization of photosystems in chloroplasts; Principles of photosynthetic membrane assemblage in green plants; Mechanisms of photo-and termoinactivation of PSI and PSII;Investigation of reactions between cytochrome b/f complexes and stuctural organization of elecfron carriers-plastocyanine and cytochrome S6.

Main scientific achievements of the structural unit:

Conception of step-bystep formation of chloroplast photosynthetic electrontransport systems;the stabiliring role of 33kDa,16 and 24 kDa proteins under fotoinactivation have been shawn; on oxygenevelving particles ;the structural differences of active sites in Plastocyanin and cytochrome C6 were found and three-step mechanism of Plastocyanin -PSI and Cytochrome C6-PSI complexes are suggested.
